We understand that you aren't looking to spend a ton of money on materials, so we found some great items on Amazon that will get the job done for you!

The Essentials:
If you thought you are going to need some items to practice with, you're right! Below are the essentials that you will need to be able to complete this course at home.

Your Own Dining Room Table (or similar flat surface):
This one we are assuming you already have. If you don't have a table of some sort that you can use to practice on, then you can either buy one or you can go down below to our recommendation for an inexpensive actual poker table.

Casino Felt:
This can be any felt. The idea here is to get a simple felt to use that has enough space to practice on. The felt rests directly on top of the padding as shown in lesson #2.

Padding:
Do not skip the padding! You will be miserable without it. The padding goes directly underneath the felt. All poker tables have foam under the felt. This is what allows your fingers to get underneath the bottom card when shuffling and cleaning up the board between hands of poker. It also allows you to get underneath the chips.

Dealer Tray:
You will need this for lessons 7+

Cards:
You will need cards made for poker. Poker cards are made of plastic. They can be either bridge size or poker size (different casinos use different sizes and there is no rhyme or reason to it. If you have a smaller surface you are practicing on, you may want to use bridge size as they are slightly smaller. I advise that you do NOT get paper cards.

Chips:
You will need chips to practice just about everything. High quality casino chips are pretty costly. The option we included below gets the job done for training. If you want to spend more money on a fancier set of chips, then by all means do so, but it isn't necessary.

Also, we always recommend going to your local casino and asking them to give you 100 of their $1 chips. It will cost you $100 today, and whenever you are done, you just bring them back and get your $100 back. This will not be enough to complete the training because you need multiple colors for that, but it is a good way to practice handling and cutting real casino chips.

Cut Card:
You will need at least one cut card. These do not come with the decks, but they are essential to training and dealing poker. Make sure that you get the correct size cut card to match the deck you are using. All of the links we provide here are bridge size (the smaller of the two sizes).

Spacers:
Technically, you could get by using coins instead of these, but spacers are cheap and a lot easier to use. These are used to help organize the chips in the dealer tray, and they are sometimes used in place of missed blind buttons and more.

Dealer Button (no need to buy if you purchased the chips we linked to):
If you already had chips or if your chip set didn't come with this, then you will want it. Technically, you could get by without this too and just use something random, but it's very inexpensive and makes things a lot easier.

The above option also contains some missed blind buttons and stuff. They aren't essential, but it's all pretty cheap so why not!

If you want an actual poker table to practice on (optional):
The above was the bare essentials, but for anyone looking for an actual poker table to practice on, the cheapest and simplest option is to buy this table:
Purchasing this table means you no longer need to buy felt, padding, or a dealer tray.

Dealer Chair (really optional):
Honestly, any old chair will do fine, but it's always nice to have a chair that rolls and swivels. I recommend you just use something in the house, but here's a link to a really good chair that will work if you want.
